Tumbulgum & the Coast

Had a great trip up north today for a farm visit to Tumbulgum and Caversham wildlife parks, which were inside a bigger park called Whiteman (about a half hour north of Perth). Got to see some sheep shearing, billy swinging, and kelpies rounding up the herd, as well as all sorts of different animals (never get tired of it). Pictures are worth a million words, so I'll just post those.

Also made it to Hillary's Harbour on the coast, straight west from the wildlife park. Ate shark (reminds me of tilapia a little) and chips for lunch then walked it off a bit by wandering around the little park and shops there. Another beautful, cloudless, blue day with soft, silky sand and a blue/green ocean. Yeah!

If you notice something a little weird with this gal, it's because she's a momma, with joey feet sticking out of her pouch!

The little young ones are nice and soft. This diva is too cool for school, but she was so happy to pose for me for a mini photo shoot:And suprisingly, there were a lot of albino kangaroos and wallabes like this guy...dozing of course.

And my favorites - the koalas. Chillin' as usual. You'd think that maybe by now they would have figured out that Eucalyptus leaves have no energy and that a little protein might help their sleepiness...

This one's pondering the sprig of Eucalyptus - but it might too far to go for a bite. I bet she's wondering why it doesn't just make it's own way into her mouth.

She ended up just going back to sleep a second later.

I call this guy Yoda. Wise beyond his years.
