The day after he flew into Brisbane, we took the bus to the train to the bus to the ferry to the bus to North Stradbroke Island (seriously, it takes all of those to get there). But, only took us about two hours commuting. And it was a really great weekend of hanging out on the beaches, walking everywhere, exploring the sand dunes, dipping into the ocean, and whale/dolphin/pelican watching.
The beaches. Main beach -
And the gorge, with awesome blue/green water.
Razzu pondering the gorge at a funny angle.
I think we stressed this guy out a little because his balls started to get messy instead of perfectly round. Managed to finally get a video of him though.
We found the Sand Blow! It was listed on a couple maps we saw, but not really all that obvious how to get there; kind of in the middle of nowhere. If only we had thought to bring waxed boards, would have been perfect for some sandboarding.
Here's a Razzu wannabe...or maybe its the other way around. Either way, the mo' is in!
Wildlife hidden in the plants.
And a couple photos from Razzu's camera of our weekend on North Straddie.
Frolicking in the first sand dune we stumbled upon while walking the beaches the first night we arrived.
Nice sunset with a lovely Razzu.
And of course playing around with the waterproof camera.
